By accessing or using Tahanan ("the Service"), operated by Xylo Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
Tahanan is a subscription-based Tagalog language learning platform available on iOS, Android, and web. The Service provides:

To use Tahanan, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
You may be asked to provide profile information including your name, country, language background, and learning goals. This information helps us personalize your learning experience and enables coaches to provide relevant feedback. You agree to provide accurate information and understand that coaches will have access to your profile when reviewing your submissions.
Tahanan offers subscription plans as specified on our pricing page. Founding Members who pre-pay receive promotional pricing as specified at the time of purchase.
By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or as specified in our refund policy.
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until that date.
Founding Members who pre-pay are eligible for a full refund if the Service does not launch. Refund requests must be submitted to support@tagalogapp.com.

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, lesson content, and AI-generated content, are owned by Xylo Software LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
The Service allows you to create and submit content including:
You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your content for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This includes sharing your submissions with coaches for feedback.
You are responsible for your content and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
Our coaching feature connects you with independent contractor coaches who provide personalized feedback on your Tagalog speaking practice.
When you submit recordings for coaching, you understand and agree that coaches will have access to your audio submissions, text responses, profile information, and learning progress to provide relevant feedback.
Coach feedback is provided for educational purposes and represents the coach's professional opinion. While we strive to provide high-quality coaching, we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes from coaching interactions.
You agree to interact with coaches respectfully and professionally. Harassment, abuse, or inappropriate conduct toward coaches may result in suspension or termination of your account.
Our AI conversation practice feature uses artificial intelligence to simulate conversations and provide feedback. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is for educational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole source of language learning.
We do not guarantee that the AI will always respond appropriately or accurately. By using AI features, you acknowledge these limitations. Your AI practice sessions may be stored and used to improve the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not guarantee any specific results from using the Service, including language proficiency outcomes.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, XYLO SOFTWARE LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Xylo Software LLC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors (including coaches), and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on the Service and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
